During an April 2024 survey, approximately 48 percent of parents in the United Kingdom (UK) reported that their children had seen online advertisements for food and drink products that were inappropriate. Meanwhile, 21 percent stated their children encountered gambling-related ads, while 16 percent mentioned exposure to advertisements for cigarettes, tobacco, and alcohol. Additionally, 15 percent of parents reported their children had seen weight loss product ads.
