According to a May 2025 survey in the United States, around 54 percent of respondents mentioned ChatGPT's capacity to summarize complex topics as the main reason to use the chatbot as a search engine. The tool feeling cluttered and requiring fewer clicks than traditional search were mentioned by approximately 29 percent and 33 percent of respondents, respectively.
