In 2025, banking leaders most often flagged governance and data issues as the main barriers to implementing AI. Ethical challenges topped the list at ** percent, followed closely by data readiness and a lack of regulation, both at ** percent. Practical execution concerns were also common: ** percent cited the technical capabilities and skills needed to implement AI. Beyond implementation, ** percent pointed to the spread of misinformation as a key challenge.
