Digital marketing in Italy - Statistics & Facts
In 2018, investments in the Italian digital advertising market reached almost three billion euros, an increase compared to the previous years across all the market segments.
Despite the encouraging growth, professionals working in the field pointed out specific aspects which could potentially affect future trends in the digital marketing sector. According to a recent survey, about one quarter of respondents working in big digital groups claimed that effective online campaigns led to high costs for the companies, whereas 17 percent saw broadband connection access levels in need of improvement and as a major obstacle in the development of digital marketing in Italy.
