The Dentsu Group posted global revenue figures of *** trillion Japanese yen in its financial reporting for 2024 (ending on December 31), up from **** trillion yen generated in the previous year. The 2025 revenue was projected to increase further, reaching an estimated **** trillion yen.

Domestic revenue hangs in there, international revenue goes down

Japan made up the largest share of Dentsu's global revenue in 2023, with ** percent. The agency network's domestic market was also the only one that grew in 2023; its operations registered a revenue drop of almost ** percent in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, while the result in the Americas recorded a reduction of *** percent in 2023. The group mentioned the influence of factors such as rising inflation and market recessions on business and consumer spending as reasons behind its slowdown in growth.

Dentsu turns to AI to jolt static revenue

Similarly to its “Big Five” peers, the Japanese powerhouse has also been making moves in the artificial intelligence (AI) arena. In September 2023, Dentsu debuted a new generative AI-related tool known as d.Scriptor. In January 2024, the group announced it has widened its relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS) by including two key services to further augment the scalability of its use of generative AI.
