According to a survey conducted among citizens in the U.S., the share of respondents who reported feeling very concerned decreased from 39 percent to 36 percent. Similarly, respondents who were somewhat concerned decreased by two percentage points. On April 24, 2024,U.S. President Joe Biden signed a bill that mandates for TikTok to be sold from the Chinese-parent company ByteDance or face a ban in the country.
