Snapchat in Europe - statistics & facts
Snapchat is an image messaging and multimedia sharing application. In 2016, the company introduced "Memories", a new feature that allows users to save their snaps and stories to a sharable and searchable archive, which would previously become inaccessible after a certain time period. The number of daily active Snapchat users amounted to 158 million in the fourth quarter of 2016. Half of the leading 10 Snapchat markets for teens are European, with Ireland topping the list with a 89 percent usage penetration rate.
