Advertising on video games was more likely to grab the attention of male than female teenagers in the United States, according to the survey conducted in June 2021. Around ** percent of the boys surveyed said ads on video games captured their attention, as against percent of girls. Social media ranked as the main advertising channel for both genders. However, girls were significantly more likely than boys to be captivated by ads on social media (** percent against ** percent).
