Digital advertising is getting increasing significance in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), with Russia and Poland having the fifth- and 11th-largest revenue in Europe. Overall, the digital advertising expenditure in the region is expected to rise continuously in the following years and grow by 33 percent between 2024 and 2029. The market size shrank in 2022 due to the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war. The internet is the leading advertising medium in most CEE countries, accounting for more than half of the total expenditure.
