Approximately 68.1 percent of voters in Honduras participated in the last presidential elections in November 2021, that is, approximately 3.5 million voters. The preliminary results have declared the candidate from the Liberty and Refoundation Party victorious with a figure that exceeds half of the votes cast. The victory in the elections represents a larger margin of difference with the second place, Nasry Asfura, than that recorded in the voting intention. It is worth noting that the citizens' opinion before the elections was not positive, as 46.5 percent expected fraudulent or very fraudulent elections.
