The second round of the Ecuadorian presidential elections, held on October 16, 2023, pitted candidate Daniel Noboa (PID and Mover) against candidate Luisa González (Citizen Revolution) in the polls. As anticipated by voting intention polls, the businessman from Guayaquil, Daniel Noboa, will lead the country for the first time, after obtaining 52 percent of the votes, surpassing the Citizen Revolution candidate by approximately four percentage points. Starting in December, Ecuador will have the youngest elected president in the country's history.
