As of early 2026, almost half of fintechs worldwide were at the piloting stage (** percent) of AI adoption maturity, while ** percent had reached scaling and ** percent transforming, meaning ** percent had moved beyond the earliest stages of AI deployment. Agentic AI, however, was at a much earlier stage: ** percent of fintechs had reached active adoption (defined as piloting or above), reflecting that autonomous agent deployment remains a newer and less widely adopted technology than AI broadly.
