Almost all financial services leaders indicated that their organizations had already deployed generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in some manner, according to a survey carried out in August 2023 among financial organizations. While the majority of the respondents were optimistic about GenAI in their respective industries, just over * respondents said that they were skeptical about the potential impact of GenAI on their organizations. Skepticism was the highest in the insurance industry and lowest in the banking and capital markets industries. When asked about the main benefits GenAI could bring to their industries, risk reduction from data processing was the most common answer.
