Luisa González ranked as the presidential candidate with the highest share of votes in the first round of the presidential elections in Ecuador. The candidate from Revolución Ciudadana scored 33 percent of the votes and will go on a second round against Daniel Noboa. The second place from Noboa comes as a surprise due to him not being a top candidate in the latest opinion polls.
