On April 13, 2025, Daniel Noboa (ADN) and Luisa González (RC-RETO) will face off in the runoff that will decide who will be the president of Ecuador for the next four years. The contest will be very close, as was the case in the first round of the presidential elections on February 9, since neither candidate has a significant advantage and the differences narrow as the date approaches. It is worth noting that this is not the first time both candidates have faced each other in a similar scenario. Just 15 months earlier, on October 15, 2023, Noboa managed to defeat García at the polls and become the youngest president in the country's history, although only until completing the term of his predecessor, Guillermo Lasso.
