In a February 2026 survey of adults in the United States, around ** percent of the respondents said they would be less likely to buy products or use services from a corporation taking a stand on a social issue they disagreed with. Approximately ** percent neither agreed nor disagreed with that possibility, while ** percent disagreed, meaning they would still consume from a brand taking opposing social stances. The same study found consumers were divided on whether brands should engage in activism on social media in the U.S.
