In an online survey conducted in May 2024, approximately ** percent of respondents in urban India reported seeing ads by the Bharatiya Janata Party most frequently around the elections. In comparison, less than half the respondents reported seeing Indian National Congress ads. About **** of Indians reported that they had seen some form of political advertisement during the **** general elections. YouTube was cited as the most common platform to come across political ads, while Instagram was particularly popular among Gen Z.
