While four in 10 non-TikTok users reported feeling very concerned about the privacy and security of the Chinese-owned app. However, 38 percent of TikTok users in the market reported their were somewhat concerned about the app's privacy and security. On April 24, 2024,U.S. President Joe Biden signed a bill that mandates for TikTok to be sold from the Chinese-parent company ByteDance or face a ban in the country.
