According to a survey conducted in October 2021 in Japan, the majority of respondents would buy locally grown and processed food products if they were priced the same as or cheaper than other products. The share was higher among female respondents, with almost ** percent. On the other hand, men were more likely to buy local foods even if they were priced higher, with almost *** percent as compared to *** percent of women.
