A 2025 survey found that reading rates of books overall, as well as print books specifically, were similar across all age groups in the United States. Differences were observed for e-books and audiobooks, which proved more popular among younger groups, with **** of young adults having listened to a book within the last year, compared to only ** percent of seniors.
