Reasons for journalists not using AI for their work worldwide 2024
When it comes to using AI for their work, some journalists remain skeptical or hesitant. In fact, 55.3 percent of surveyed journalists worldwide said that the main reason they do not use any artificial intelligence tools for their work was lack of awareness or knowledge about such tools. Around a third said they preferred traditional methods of working, and 18.4 percent cited budget constraints as a key factor. Insufficient training, however, was the main reason for more than half of journalists to avoid using AI tools, highlighting the need for increased support and guidance in the newsroom in this respect.
