According to a June 2025 survey that was conducted among people in Japan who like popular characters, **** percent of the respondents had spent less than 1,000 Japanese yen on characters they liked. While the majority of respondents were at the lower end of the distribution, close to **** percent stated that they had spent more than 100,000 yen.
