According to a survey conducted by the in Japan in December 2023, more than ** percent of the respondents stated that they had a favorite character or one that they liked. Two words that survey participants commonly used to describe characters were "iyashi" and "kawaii." While the term "iyashi" refers to things that soothe the heart, "kawaii" means that something is cute.
