A March 2024 survey found that about a quarter of American adults thought artificial intelligence (AI) would have a very or somewhat positive impact on their lives. Meanwhile, more than four in ten respondents between 18 and 29 thought so. Older generations, however, had a different opinion. More than 35 percent of adults 45 years and older said AI would have a very negative or somewhat negative impact on their lives.
