Despite a global trend of decreasing branch banking usage, the share of bank account holders processing banking matters in person increased in Austria between 2019 and 2025, albeit slightly. According to ��ƽ��'s Consumer ��ƽ��, the share of bank account holders who processed banking affairs in person in a branch was ** percent in the third quarter of 2025, **** percentage points higher than in the first half of 2019. Despite the upward trend, this was still a relatively low penetration rate.
