Branch banking usage decreased gradually between 2019 and 2025 but remained above ** percent among bank account holders in Germany. According to ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ's Consumer ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ, the share of bank account holders who processed banking affairs in person in a branch was ** percent in the third quarter of 2025, two percentage points lower than in the first half of 2019. In comparison, branch banking usage was significantly higher in the U.S. during the same period, where almost half of all respondents still processed banking matters in person in 2025.
