Service industries in Finland have been severely impacted by the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19). In January 2022, the working day adjusted revenue in service industries increased in all sectors compared to the previous year. Accommodation and food services were hit the worst, suffering nearly ** percent revenue losses in April and May 2020 compared to the corresponding period of 2019. Additionally, arts, entertainment and recreation activities declined significantly, over ** percent from April and May 2019. Some sectors, for example real estate activities, were not as hardly hit or still continued to grow.
