Different types of online advertisments, as defined by the source:
Rectangle:
retargetting: visitors of certain pages or certain products, will be retargetted with ads from these initial pages or products when they visit another website.
Non-skippable video: a video commercial which has to be watched before the desired content can be seen and cannot be closed or skipped.
Skin: similar to a homepage lay-over. The empty spaces around the content are bing filled with ads. Can be used by miltiple publishers at the same time through CPM and programmatic.
Lightbox: an ad which is being served as a layer over the website, mostly used for an automatically started video. The advertisement can be closed after several seconds and automatically after 20 seconds.
Floor Ad: a rich media manifestation on the bottom of the screen, which is enlarged by a mouse-over. The ad sticks to the bottom of the screen when scrolling through the website.
