By the end of 2024, the military had established themselves as the public sector professionals who inspired the greatest trust among the Ecuadorian population, with a percentage of 72 percent. This figure represents a positive difference of 60 percentage points compared to politicians, who stood out for their marked lack of credibility among citizens. This lack of trust will have a notable impact on the presidential elections on February 9, 2025.
