In this survey, the source asked respondents the following question: "All things considered, do you think that the abolition of the monarchy would be better or worse for Great Britain in the future, or do you think it would make no difference?" Almost half of the British respondents in March 2022 believed that the United Kingdom would be worse off in the future if the monarchy were abolished. Although the proportion of people who think the United Kingdom would be better off if the monarchy were abolished increased between 2018 and 2022, it remains below a quarter of respondents.
