Cryptocurrency owners in the United Kingdom (UK) - minus Northern Ireland - in 2021 overwhelmingly held Bitcoin (BTC), and likely combined this with other coins. In that sense, it is perhaps somewhat unsurprising to see Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin - three cryptocurrencies that hit the news often in 2021 - on top of this list. This is the same top three as when compared to the ownership of ** different cryptocurrencies in the United States. Differences, however, are observed at the bottom part of the list: respondents from Great Britain tended to be more into cryptocurrencies closely related to Ethereum - such as Ripple (XRP), Polkadot (DOT) and especially Cardano (ADA). U.S. respondents, on the other hand, looked more into Stellar (XLM) or the Basic Attention Token (BAT).
