This statistic shows the result of a survey in England from 1999 to 2013 (some years missing) which attempted to gauge the public opinion on whether Scotland should become an independent nation or not. In 2011, ** percent of respondents said that it should. This was the peak of the period in question. Although the English have no opportunity to vote in the referendum in ****, if they did, it would seem that the majority would vote against the proposed independence from the United Kingdom.
