A 2024 survey revealed that, according to German industry professionals' viewpoint, marketplaces with goods from Asia are Amazon's main rival. For example, these marketplaces could be Temu or SHEIN. Around ** percent of respondents believed that marketplaces with goods from Asia competed with Amazon, while roughly ** percent believed that TikTok Shop was a threat. For other online platforms and marketplaces, TikTok Shop was perceived as a bigger threat (** percent) than marketplaces with goods from Asia (** percent).
