The proportion of customers in Canada who never visit bank branches doubled in 2023 compared to pre-pandemic levels. In 2023, ** percent of respondents reported that they no longer visit bank branches at all, up from *** percent before the pandemic. The percentage of respondents who visit a branch once every two weeks, once a week, or once a month also declined significantly. In contrast, less frequent visits became more common, with a notable increase in respondents indicating they visit a bank branch only once a year or once every few years.
