An online survey was launched in October 2023 and was answered by 2,013 respondents, of which 1,976 were filled out by non-BEV drivers and 37 by BEV drivers in Spain. The survey closed in November 2023 after being open for one month for non-BEV drivers. As BEV drivers were harder to reach, their survey remained open until February 2024.

Based on a survey conducted in Spain in October and November 2023, ** percent of respondents desire more than a 600-kilometer driving range for a battery electric vehicle. Furthermore, ** percent of Spanish respondents in total desire a minimum driving range between *** and *** kilometers. The desired range is defined as the number of kilometers that can be driven with a fully charged battery without the need for recharging.
