An online survey was launched in October 2023 and was answered by 2,065 respondents, of which 1,919 were filled out by non-BEV drivers and 146 by BEV drivers in Germany.

In a survey conducted in Germany in 2023, German BEV drivers were asked to indicate how essential certain characteristics of a public charging session were to them. According to ** percent of respondents, easy access and payment via their recharging subscription (pass/app) were very important when using a public charging point. Furthermore, ** percent of BEV drivers find recharging speed to be a crucial feature of a charging point.Â
