Supplementary notes
The data does not reflect the total number of Israelis who emigrated abroad.
Recent emigrants are defined as Israelis who have left the country in the previous two years, whom have not deregistered their residency, and have not stayed in Israel for a period longer than 90 days per year, over the past two years.
Deregistering residency is an administrative process via the Israel national insurance and tax authority. It typically occurs after five years of citizen's residency in a foreign country, though can be initiated at an earlier or later time.
