A 2022 survey carried out in the United States showed that consumers aged 18 to 34 years old were ones using virtual and augmented reality (VR and AR) the most when shopping online. Over **** of them used this technology to visualize how furniture would look in their home. In turn, only ** percent of shoppers aged over 55 years did the same. Other uses included overlaying of makeup and virtual try-on of clothes.
