*"Oshikatsu" and "otakatsu" are Japanese terms. The word "oshikatsu" refers to activities people engage in to support someone or something they like. "Otakatsu" refers to the activities of enthusiastic fans.
Survey question: "What kind of oshikatsu and otakatsu are you doing?"
In a survey that was conducted in Japan in December 2024, **** percent of the respondents stated that they watch or read the works they support as part of their fan actvitities (so-called "oshikatsu" or "otakatsu" activities). It was the most commonly given answer in the survey, ahead of watching television programs and video content.
