Out of 65 companies that had advertised their products in cooperation with Johnny & Associates stars, ** had stopped airing commercials, while ** had decided not to renew their contracts.
In September 2023, Johnny & Associates, one of the largest and most influential talent agencies in Japan, acknowledged that its late founder had sexually abused minors over decades. The scandal sparked nationwide outrage.
