In April of 2021, many consumers in the United States returned to physical big box retailers, as about ** percent of surveyed shoppers had been visiting such outlets. At the same time, the share of U.S. consumers who exclusively visited big box stores online had declined compared to the summer of 2020. Grocery store visits had evolved in a similar fashion over the measured period.
