Presidential election in Poland 2025 - statistics & facts
With outgoing President Andrzej Duda concluding his second and constitutionally final term, Poland held a presidential election in 2025. The vote resulted in a narrow victory of Karol Nawrocki, a conservative historian and political newcomer, who defeated centrist Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski in the second round. The results of the election, held in two rounds on May 18 and June 1, reflect the intense polarization in Polish politics. Trzaskowski led the first round with 31.36 percent of the vote, closely followed by Nawrocki with 29.7 percent. However, Nawrocki managed to flip the result, securing 50.89 percent of the vote on June 1, a day that saw the highest voter turnout in the Polish presidential election to date.
