As well as being advertised on TV, the pharmaceutical sector is actively promoted in medical and surgical journals. Compared to other types of health care companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers had the largest marketing budgets and the majority of pharma executives also indicated that their marketing allowances were set to increase.
