In 2023, the European commission launched the Digital Decade Policy Program, a plan aimed to support the EU's digital transformation by 2030. The Commission regularly monitors the achievement of KPIs in four key areas: digital infrastructure, digital transformation of businesses, digital skills, and digital public services. As far as digital infrastructure, the KPI with the largest target achievement is overall 5G coverage, at ** percent, ahead of fixed very high-capacity network, at ** percent, and fiber to the premises, at around ** percent target achievement.
