Star Maa, was the leading general entertainment content (GEC) channel within the Southern Indian market with an average viewership of over *** million between May 31 and June 6, 2025. The Telugu language channel was also the most watched channel in India that week. Formerly owned by the Disney Star Group, it is now under the aegis of JioStar, a joint venture between Disney and Reliance. The Tamil GEC channel Sun TV followed second.
