A February 2023 survey in the United Kingdom (UK) found that nearly ** percent of respondents 55 years and older used private browsing methods to protect their personal information from scammers and cybercriminals. Additionally, approximately ** percent of those between 35 and 44 years stated the same. The second-most common motivation for browsing privately was stopping advertisers from tracking their online activity. Meanwhile, over ** percent of respondents between 16 and 24 years said they would like to keep what the websites they visit confidential.
