According to an online survey conducted in the United States in March 2022, 14 percent of internet users said that government-enacted regulations played a very important role in their decision of whether they would use the metaverse or not. Overall, 22 percent of respondents stated that such regulations were somewhat important, whilst 45 percent of respondents reported that it was not important at all in their decision of whether they would use the metaverse or not.
