According to a survey on the status of truck drivers in India, over half of the truck drivers stated that they rarely drove while they were fatigued or sleepy as of February 2020. The driver's problems are addressed by most fleet owners and drivers are instructed to rest well before they begin their trip. Over ** percent of truck drivers from the southern city of Chennai drove their vehicles even when they were sleepy and tired.
