According to a survey on the status of truck drivers in India, majority of truck drivers were not provided with incentives by the customers upon completing a trip as per schedule in 2020. No incentives were given by customers to more than ** percent of the drivers from the northern and western cities of Delhi, Kanpur, Mumbai and Ahmedabad upon completing the trip. Majority of drivers from northern parts of the country did not get paid on time and they obtained less remuneration than drivers from the southern cities.
