At the end of 2019, the majority of Russians expected the future relations with Ukraine to return to normal, but not get as brotherly and allied as they used to be before the crisis in Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea by Russia. Almost every fifth Russian believed that friendly and good-neighborly relations would be established between the two countries.
